Kings of the South – Saturday

A few 2028’s stood out Saturday at the Kings of the South

Tre Mann Elite has a tough backcourt that makes this group go. Zaire Colbert and Armani Morris form a tandem with a willingness to defend, stay in attack mode on offense with a good feel for the game. Colbert can hurt you with his range, unafraid to take and make tough shots. Morris gets you downhill, tough finishes and does a nice job kicking ahead to teammates, leading to easy baskets.

Atlanta Swish has a duo of its own but of the big nature. 6’7” Symeon Watson can beat you with his smooth jumper and a smoother handle. Although not equipped with speed right now, he knows how to get to spots for buckets or open teammates with his vision.

Junub Duor is a 6’5” athlete who excels in transition but also comes with the ability to make shots from the perimeter.

Jet Academy has a deep squad with talented prospects

6’8” Joshua Sanders shows tons of potential as a PF. He brings shot blocking ability, runs the floor and has good touch in the painted area. He projects out as a perimeter four man with an improved stroke outside the paint. High ceiling.

6’2” CG Austin Leonard has a good feel for the game, showed a solid pull-up game, passing ability and good ball defender.

6’6” Jacori Thompson is your classic four. He battles on the glass, plays with a good motor and can knock down the 17-footer. Defensively he can guard multiple positions.

5’11” BJ Lafell showed the grit, toughness and shotmaking ability you want in point guard. Guards with passion and stayed in attack mode on offense. When not getting the paint touch he was very effective not over penetrating and trusting his reliable pull-up.
